Hermon Asmerom Gebregergish ( Pr .Elijah) is a first born daughter among 4 children . She is an Eritrean Ugandan who is passionate about leadership , public speaking, debate ,human rights ,robotics , climate change and STEM. She is currently a student in her final year in Mengo Senior School where she served as the Deputy Academics Prefect then Club President and now she serves as the Director Projects and Operation Student Council. She also serves as the Public Relations Officer for Make Impact Organization that is a youth led organization that aims at bringing change and impact to the different communities out there .She also ministers at Shalom Life Stream Church as a Sunday school teacher .

A glimpse of her awards include her serving as the National team captain for the Debate Cranes of Uganda (2024) and represented the country in Rwanda in the East African Debate Championship and emerged as winners . Her passion for public speaking goes to her dreaming to be a lawyer where she competed in the Uganda National Schools Moot Competition 2025 and emerged as the best oralist and runners up with her teammate. She also won Green Schools Competition both regional qualifier and nationals 2024 . She emerged as the Best Speaker for the National Debate Council 2024. She has participated in over 20 debate like NDC ,DSU ,USDCL and many others both physically and online where she has registered several wins , accolades and medals .

She also served as National Team Captain for the Uganda National Robotics team and represented the country in Switzerland and Singapore in the First Global Challenge where the team emerged to win gold medals for International Enthusiasm Award .She further organized several bootcamps in partnership with Apps and Girls , The American Embassy and Center in Uganda alongside the Rockfeller Foundation where they empowered girls in Stem and build several robots . Her team presented their robot to the Minister of ICT Hon . Chris Byamugisha which won them an award for exceptional work .

She further represented Uganda in the United Kingdom for the International Public Speaking Competition where she made Semi Finals and came with bronze medal .She also participated in the NDC 2023 nationals and emerged as runners up as well as other several tournaments . Further more during her free time she writes poem like ones against corruption where she presented them during the international anti corruption day and won a couple of awards like the virtual challenge with NDC .

She also passionate about mental health awareness where she has collaborated with UNICEF alongside U report Uganda under the theme Whats on your mind ? . She loves humanity and cares about the nature .
